A Variety of Programs Offered at City Libraries During January

RIO RANCHO, N.M. - During the month of January, a variety of unique programs will be offered at both of the city of Rio Rancho's public libraries.

The Loma Colorado Main Library, 755 Loma Colorado Drive NE, will offer special programs including:

*Getting to Know Computers: Mouserobics
Wednesday, Jan. 6 from 10:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Computer Room
Registration is not required, but you must have a valid Rio Rancho library card.
This class will teach those beginning to use a computer tips related to using a computer mouse.

*Concert: The Squash Blossom Boys Bluegrass Band
Thursday, Jan. 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. in the main auditorium
Free tickets available at the Adult Information Desk.
This band offers an eclectic blend of traditional folk, jazz, rock, and reggae music that features a guitar, fiddle, mandolin, banjo and vocals.

*Getting to Know Computers: Personal Computers
Wednesday, Jan. 20 from 10:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Computer Room
To register for this class you must have a Rio Rancho library card and Mouserobics Certificate of Proficiency.
This class will teach the basics of how to use a personal computer.

The Esther Bone Memorial Library, 950 Pinetree Road NE, will feature special programs and events highlighted by:

*Beatles Karaoke Night
Tuesday, Jan. 5 at 6:30 p.m.
Beatles week kicks off with a fun-filled evening of karaoke music at the library.  You can register at the start of the program to sing your favorite Beatles song or just listen to the music.  This program is for all ages.

*Gentle Flow Yoga with Pam
Saturday, Jan. 9 at 10 a.m.
Please register for this class in advance at the Adult Information Desk.
Pamela Hong will teach a relaxing hour of gentle flow yoga exercises designed for all levels of experience. Yoga mat, loose clothing and light meal only prior to class time are required.

*Legos for Adults
Saturday, Jan. 30 at 10 a.m.
Lorence Winchell's workshop will teach ages 16 and above how to create amazing Lego designs from scratch.  Please bring your own Legos to this workshop.
