Longtime New Mexico Winemaker, Mark Matheson, has opened
Rio Rancho's first winery. Mark has made wine and
consulted at over a dozen of the Southwest's finest
wineries. Mark is a classically trained enologist from the
University of California at Davis. Matheson Winery offers
a wide array of wines suitable to any taste. |

We are now open Wednesday through Sunday 12 to 5. Mark
will be in the tasting room most Wednesdays and
Thursdays. Come by and say hello!

New wines we're doing this Fall. |

|
Matheson will be crushing new wines this fall. We will
be doing our Carnivale, a sweet white
wine, containing Muscat Canelli, Malvasia, and
Jahanassburg Riesling. Avalon, our
Meritage or Bordeaux blend, will have Merlot, Cabernet
Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon. We will also be doing a
varietal Sangiovese!
