Jaymes is a potter and ceramic sculptor. He holds B.A and M.A. degrees from the University of New Mexico and an M.F.A. degree from the University of Oklahoma. After 28 years of teaching, Jaymes retired in 2003 at the rank of full professor from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. He has returned to his native state of New Mexico where he has set up his sculpture studio. His artwork is available at the Trader’s Collection Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Prior to his employment at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, Dudding taught art at Laguna-Acoma High School in western New Mexico for eight years. During this period he completed his Masters of Art Education degree with a concentration in ceramics at the University of New Mexico.
Presently, Dudding continues to teach part-time. He teaches high school art at Walatowa High Charter School in Jemez Pueblo, New Mexico. He also teaches Humanities at Central New Mexico Community College in Albuquerque. He is married to Patricia Dudding and is a proud grandfather.
